Long distance relationships. They are the kind of relationship that nobody wants. The whole being away from someone you love, having to find creative ways to show them you care, battling busy schedules to find time to talk, and existing without their presence for long periods of time…. Well, it can suck pretty bad sometimes, folks. But you’re willing to make it work when you love someone so much.
After spending every possible waking minute together since we met when we were 8 years old, being away from this girl was one of the hardest adjustments I’ve ever had to make (if ya didn’t know, she is my best friend in the whole wide world who no one will ever compare to because she is so amazing and beautiful and gorgeous and everything great. The end.)
We have now lived in separate states for a little over two years now, and oddly enough, I think we are closer now than we ever have been. Our days consist of constant texting, random phone calls, Facebook messaging, hilarious snapchats, Tweets, Instagram conversations, and FaceTime dates.
Its chaotic, and maybe a little obsessive (think what you wanna think, we just love each other okay?), but we make it work. We still find time to include each other in every aspect of our lives, and I think that is all that matters. I like having her around.
Kel, thanks for making my life so beautiful and colorful. Thanks for always making me laugh. Thanks for always being proud of me. Thanks for being willing to survive this long distance thing.
I love you.
